East Riddleston Hall

December 16, 2009

FINALLY got around to putting this together. I took the photographs a month or two ago in the height of the autumn when I took the day off work to spend a couple of hours wandering round the garden of this National Trust house. Crafthole was volunteering as a room guide inside (he was unemployed in those days) and is pointing to the room he was in charge of.

The house was used as Wuthering Heights in the recent BBC television version (you can see why) but we were more excited about it’s having been in an episode of Sharpe. I’m sure it features highly in the Crafthole series too.
